Industrial Commodity
Lime from Algeria
Lime is quoted as quicklime or hydrated lime. The form is the first line of the brief. We do not offer “chaux” as one undifferentiated cargo.
What is Lime?
Lime (chaux) covers quicklime, from calcining limestone, and hydrated lime, after slaking. Steel, construction, environment and chemical uses do not share one specification. Reactivity and available lime decide whether a lot is usable.
How we source Lime
Say which form you need, the available CaO or reactivity window if you have one, the volume and the destination.
Typical applications
- Steelmaking flux
- Construction and soil treatment
- Flue-gas and water treatment
- Chemical and industrial processes
Technical specifications
Available lime, reactivity, CO2 residual, size and moisture are confirmed on the lot. Quicklime and hydrated lime are specified apart.
Logistics & packing
Usually bulk, with moisture and handling constraints that differ by form. The industrial bulk range of 5,000 to 30,000 tonnes per cargo applies depending on the product and the vessel, and is confirmed per shipment.
Bulk for larger parcels. Bags or big bags when the receiver cannot take bulk, and when supply can pack them.
Documents & inspection
Quality certificates, safety information where the destination requires it, and the usual commercial and export set.
Sampling at load can be arranged. Lime quality moves if it is stored poorly, so the inspection point matters.
Commercial terms & export
The offer names the form, the volume and the delivery window. A switch from quicklime to hydrated lime is a new brief.
Form and spec → supply match → packing and cargo terms → documents and loading.
